The Education Service Center of Cuyahoga County provides districts and families technical assistance in supporting student achievement. Research has shown when families are involved in their child's education, students are more successful. Information on disabilities, special education laws/regulations and other issues of concern to parents are available by contacting our staff.

One of the ways for families to be proactive in their child's education is to connect with national, statewide and local organizations that support student learning for example:

• Superintendent of Public Instruction's Parent Advisory Council,
• Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities,
• the Parent Mentors of Ohio,
• PTA,
• OhioPIRC, and
• National Parents for Public Schools
